Flabbergasted Defined

It’s a big city, a city that I have just returned to after 17 years, where I live with my husband, who was my high school friend, in a home that he purchased about 3 years ago.

To my utter astonishment, I realized this morning that my ex-boyfriend – from 19 years ago – someone that I never thought I would see again – lives literally 300 yards from my front door.

The irony of the universe never ceases to amaze me.
