Let's Go To The Beach And Stop For A Divorce
Now that the wedding gifts have been put away and most of the Thank You cards have been addressed (but not mailed), my new husband and I sat down last night to start planning our divorce.
Having spent most of my adult life in SC, where it’s easier to get away with murder than get a divorce, I was surprised by divorce laws in the Sunshine State.
In the state of Florida, you can buy a divorce on-line for about $100, file the paperwork, and have a divorce decree in about 4 weeks.
And if you are really into the whole marital bliss thing – you can do it again – the next day! Now, in all fairness, if you want to get married within 30 days of your divorce you must go to the Clerk of Court’s office and have your divorce certificate notarized.
This is paradise, we don’t want for you be to unhappy one moment longer than you have to (long faces are just bad for tourism).
